Some of my favourite pics

Here's a few of my favourite pics of my nails and some gorgeous polishes:

My nails at the moment are only about half of what they were in these pics but they grow quickly and the last pics were taken with the new camera so obviously they are better than the earlier ones.

I'm planning on getting back to posting regularly in the new year.
Thanks for looking!

piCture pOlish - Cosmos

piCture pOlish - Cosmos by Pshiiit Boutique

This is a collaboration shade called Cosmos from piCture pOlish with Pshiiit Boutique.

It's a dark navy holographic.  Now you all know that I love my purples but lately the blues have been running a very close second but this one takes the prize.  I don't have anything else like it. It's just gorgeous and I was so happy when I received it and I can see myself wearing this again and again. I love this one because it's a true navy blue and not a black blue and of course for the holographic shimmer.

Like the bottle says, "this one is totally out there! "

All piCture pOlish shades are Australian made, 3-free and not tested on animals.

Cosmos is available right now from piCture pOlish in Australia or from their worldwide network members.

China Glaze Immortal & Revlon Whimsical

China Glaze Immortal & Revlon Whimsical

Most of you wouldn't have ever seen me with short nails so here we go.  I had a major break on my middle finger and even my husband said he can't ever remember seeing me with nails that short.

Thanks to Tara from Osiris and Loki Paint Their Nails who organised for a few of us here in Australia to get our hands on Revlon Whimsical as it's not available in Australia.

I thought I'd be a bit different and layer Whimsical over something darker rather than try to match it with a lighter colour.  I chose China Glaze Immortal as it has that lovely blue shimmer in it so I thought it would go well with Whimsical.

I had trouble photographing Whimsical as the camera couldn't focus properly but at least you can see the tiny blue glitters against the grey of Immortal.

Colour by TBN - Part 3

Colour by TBN - Amethyst, Sea Foam, Forget Me Not

Hi and welcome to part 3 (final) of Colour by TBN.  These are $2.50 each from some chemists.  I've seen them in Blooms and some smaller chemists in the city.

Colour by TBN - Amethyst is a bright pink toned purple with pink shimmer and a slight blue shimmer.

Colour by TBN - Sea Foam is a striking sea green colour with green shimmer.

Colour by TBN - Forget Me Not is a very sheer pale blue with silver shimmer.  This is not a one coater.  This is 2 coats and you can still see my nail line through it. So probably better layered over a creme.

Paris Sparkles - Mardi Gras

Hi all

I'm wearing Paris Sparkles - Mardi Gras over China Glaze - Grape Pop.  I've had this on for 3 days already and I love it.

Grape Pop is a perfect match for Mardi Gras.

Mardi Gras is small pink, blue, black and silver glitters in a purple tinted base. The pink glitters are actually tiny squares and there is also larger pale green hex in the bottle but I didn't get any on my brush. I just did one thin coat of Mardi Gras.

You can follow Paris Sparkles on facebook and purchase from etsy.

Tomorrow only special is: Buy 3 get 1 free.

e.l.f. Nail Polish - Part 2

E.L.F. NAIL POLISH - PART 2 - BERRY PINK, RED VELVET

Hi again

Part 2 of the e.l.f. polishes is a pink and a red.

e.l.f. Nail Polish - Berry Pink is a beautiful mid-tone pink with shimmer

e.l.f. Nail Polish - Red Velvet is a beautiful red.  It reminds me of a Christmas red.  It doesn't have shimmer and is not a creme, it's more like a foil type polish.

You can purchase e.l.f products online. All polishes are 3-free. They have sales regular basis and will normally post details on their facebook page.

The Great Aussie Polish Challenge - piCture pOlish Mirage

Hi again

I started the week with piCture pOlish Blog Fest 2012 so I thought it's only fitting that I finish this challenge with another of their new polishes.

As soon as I saw Mirage on Monday, I knew I had to have it, ordered it and some of the Ozotics that are being discontinued and they arrived here later in the week.  I've applied 2 coats of Mirage over 1 coat of Nubar Dark Castle.

The Great Aussie Polish Challenge - Here's something Unique

Unique polishes are sold in Australia by Unique Nail and Beauty Supplies in Sydney.

I was introduced to this brand when I went to study Beauty and Nails at Meadowbank TAFE in Sydney as they are the suppliers of the student nail kits.  I've been a customer ever since I was a student so I'm sure if you need qualifications to buy polishes from there but I know for sure that you need qualifications or student status to buy acrylic etc and some equipment.

The polishes don't have names, they just have numbers.  This one is no.59.  It's actually a pinky-purple colour but it photographed more pink looking.  I'm not sure if that was because of the light or because my camera is dying.  My new camera will be here next week!

The Great Aussie Polish Challenge - Glitter Gal

Today for The Great Aussie Polish Challenge is Glitter Gal - Blue.

I've been on a Glitter Gal boycott since their St Patrick's Day competition where you could only enter your nail art design if you had used Glitter Gal green polishes so that you could win Glitter Gal green polishes.  Seemed stupid to me because if I already owned their green polishes why would I want to win more of the same thing?

So the boycott ended the other week when I read on Tara's blog (Osiris and Loki Paint Their Nails) that you could get these for $2 a bottle at a clearance place in Penrith.  I bought two of every colour I could find.  One set for me and one lot for my sister.

This one is a light blue and it was a bit sheer so I think next time I would layer it over a creme so I don't have to use so much of it because these are only 9ml bottles.

The Great Aussie Polish Challenge - Colour by TBN - Part 2

Colour by TBN - Lulu, Stevealicious, Iridescent Rose

Hello and welcome to Part 2 of Colour by TBN.  As mentioned in Part 1, TBN cost only $2.50 and are Australian so they can be included in The Great Aussie Polish Challenge.

Colour by TBN - Lulu is a sheer sparkly light mauve/pink with blue shimmer.  I love this one but it's not a one-coater.

Colour by TBN - Stevealicious is a dark but bright blue/purple with blue shimmer.  This one looks more blue in some light and in different light it looks more purple but photographed more blue with the blue shimmer showing through strongly.

Colour by TBN - Iridescent Rose is a dark dusty rose pink colour with a very strong gold shimmer.  I didn't realise how much gold this had in it until I was out in the sun.
